Happy Easter!

Belated Easter wishes! We had unusual plans for the day because Century Ballroom's second Sunday dance coincided with The Day Of Bunnies And Eggs. Hallie of the Century is so great...she came up with an idea to have an Easter Egg hunt in the ballroom during the dance!
The search was fun--since each family showed up for the dance at a different time, Hallie informed us that each child should pick only one of each color egg so that everyone could get some eggs. This limitation was actually really cool--it led to a lack of greedy grabbiness and more of an element of search and surprise.
In fact, the feeling of victory when finding only a few eggs was such a refreshing change from the need to fill the whole basket up.
Rosalie discovered a "peep" in a few of her eggs--you know, those goofy little colored marshmallow chicks? She aptly called her new favorite candy "sugar marshmallows."
As you can see in the background, there was a little dancing going on during all of this hunting and candy-discovering...
All in all a great morning. We're grateful to Hallie for a cool experience!
Meanwhile, the following week, I was busily shopping for our cruise in the Caribbean, which was great and will be the topic of the next blog post. Still combing through many pictures to keep the next blog post from being the digital "vacation slide show" that you'd have to sit through. Here's a sunglasses case I bought for Rosalie for the trip. She loves it on many levels, as you can see.
