Our Little Butterfly

Rosalie loves, loves, loves her Halloween costume. We picked it up this morning for her school's party this afternoon. She was heartbroken to take it off for her nap. Fortunately, she'll be reunited with it as soon as she wakes up, and off we'll go to meet other little bugs, baby animals and mini-superheroes.

Here's the butterfly landing on the arm of the couch:

Who knew butterflies wore bows on their antennae? Maybe for special occasions only.

Artistes

Rosalie and Owain have been enjoying the easel that our wonderful neighbors loaned us during their basement remodel. Ro's continuing to show great interest in painting and drawing.

Speaking of paint, the other day at school I saw Rosalie from across the room walk over to the classroom sink, climb up the stepstool, and start washing her hands by herself! I then realized that the recently-used classroom easel she had been looking at must have had wet paint, and she got some on her hands. Wow! It was so cool to see her brain's cause-and-effect in action, followed by a self-sufficient act of cleanliness!

New Friend

Rosalie's friend Owain just gained a new baby brother: James! Here's Rosalie holding Jimmy at about one week old. She loves to hold and "pat pat" him. By the way, I was lucky enough to witness the birth of Jimmy! He's a beautiful little guy. As you can see, Rosalie agrees.

Pack-Pack

Rosalie is really into carrying her own load. She now has two backpacks ("pack-packs")before even having homework!
